Xi and Biden Meet on Sidelines of APEC Summit
Chinese President Xi Jinping is making his first visit to the United States since 2017. The last time the Chinese leader was in America he met with then U.S. Present Donald Trump at his Mar-a-Lago estate in Florida. Xi and President Biden are attending the Asia-Pacific Economic Cooperation (APEC) summit in San Francisco, California. The two heads of state plan to meet on the sidelines of the summit. The meeting represents only the second time the two leaders have met face-to-face since Biden took office in 2021. U.S.-China relations have deteriorated over the last six years and Xi and Biden have much to discuss.
