White House Condemns Attacks in Israel

Posted on in Defense Policy · The Presidency · Foreign Policy

Drawing comparisons to the September 11, 2001 terrorist attacks in New York, President Biden led a chorus of national leaders in condemning coordinated attacks by the militant organization Hamas in Israel. “This was an act of sheer evil,” said President Biden in remarks from the White House about the assault that left thousands dead, including dozens of Americans. Secretary of State Blinken delivered the president’s message in person that the American people stood with Israel, and Secretary of Defense Austin arrived with ammunition shipments and a promise to deliver a bigger military package in the future.

Which governmental body must approve the military package for Israel?
