India Takes Center Stage As They Host the G20

Leaders representing some of the world’s largest economies recently met in India for the Group of Twenty (G20) summit. The G20 was formed in 1999 to address the Asian financial crisis and over the last two decades its scope has expanded to include matters beyond just economics. The G20 consists of nineteen countries which include Argentina, Australia, Brazil, Canada, China, France, Germany, India, Indonesia, Italy, Japan, Mexico, Russia, Saudi Arabia, South Africa, South Korea, Turkey, the United Kingdom (UK), and the United States. The European Union (EU) makes up the twentieth member and Spain is invited as a permanent guest.
